A future broadcaster?

Brady tried on the broadcasting headset at a recent women's basketball game.  I couldn't help but compare it to a picture from December 2012 (ouch, has it really been long?).  Pretty cute kid.

A blog post! Yes, we're alive!

No judging!  I haven't posted anything on the blog in what, 6 months?  What can I say?  Wifely-ness and motherhood are full-time jobs, on top of a full-time job.

Brenna has been playing with her dolls more and more often lately.  She still loves to throw the ball and play with her brother's cars, so there's plenty of tomboy in that girl.  However, the dolls have been slowly getting more attention.

Last night Brenna was very, very concerned about her Bitty Baby.  First she had to burp the baby.
Then she had to check the baby's diaper (perhaps because Mom has just change a stinky one on Brenna).
Then she had to burp her one last time.

Cars chair

This little girl has taken over the Cars chair as her own.  And she is adorable in it, even with her shaggy, post-bath, hanging-in-the-face hair going one.

Lego Time

With the weather turning colder, we've been forced to spend more time indoors.  More time indoors means the kids spend more time building stuff with the Legos.

No surprise that Brady has been on a big kick of buildings cars and planes and other things with wheels.
Brenna does a great job of picking up the Legos and putting them away, but she's not so helpful during the building phase.  However, Brady is such a sweet big brother that he almost always will build a small car specifically for Brenna.  What a sweetie!

Fall fun

Brady and Brenna got to spend an evening with The Williams Family.  Mrs. Williams is an elementary teacher, so she is super crafty (and she actually follows through on all the cute craft ideas she pins on Pinterest).

Brady and Braxton made jack-o-lanterns.
All the kids gathered leaves.  They had a very good time.

Ready, Set, Go!

It's kind of hard to understand on this video, but little miss Brenna has been a running fool lately.  She's been listening to her brother and can now say "Ready, Set, Go."  Though most of the time she forgets to say ready and skips right to Set, Go! That's what she did in this video anyway.

Pumpkin Patch, Part 3

Brenna had plenty of fun at the Pumpkin Patch as well.  She loved this bean bag game; the girl can throw!

The hay pit was, as always, a big hit.  This year they had a rope swing and a slide.

Brenna had more fun throwing the hay.

She was also quite happy to pick out the smaller pumpkins (or would you call those gourds?).
