Father's Day

Well, we celebrated the first Father's Day yesterday. I couldn't help but show off Brady's outfit - who doesn't love Daddy? So cute!

7 months old

7 months old already! Can't believe the little tyke is more than halfway to being one-year old. We've mastered green and orange vegetables and over the weekend we added mixed vegetables to the diet. Whooooo, peas and carrots and potatoes all in one.
Such a happy, smiling boy.

Sitting like a big boy next to Pooh Bear.
Trying to eat Pooh's hand. Like everything else, he grabs it and it goes straight to the mouth these days.

Green Vegetables are Good

Big news to report!! We have overcome another hurdle and officially added green vegetables to the diet. Both green beans and peas. Can't say that Brady loves them, but he will eat the entire container without making too many faces. Now that he can tolerate the green stuff, perhaps his nose will go back to being a normal color!

Toes are yummy.

Brady can now eat his toes. And good thing, since he hates peas! He's discovered his feet in the past few weeks and really enjoys trying to put his entire foot into his mouth. It's been amusing. Here he is just hanging out while Dad tickles him. Now this is good - I can almost fit all of my toes into my mouth.
Just trying and trying to get those toes in there.

Peas. Here's What I Think of Peas.

So, we tried peas for the first time last night. Those were not nearly as successful as previous foods. Then again, both Mom and Dad strongly dislike that vegetable, so he really doesn't stand much of a chance. I couldn't help but laugh whenever he made a face - too funny! This picture was the most common reaction we got.

Enjoy the video. And really, peas are gross.

So,

We love to sing!

I've been such a blog slacker! I have no excuse, other than summer has officially begun at the Smoller house and we're finding all kinds of things to keep us busy.
Baseball season is over for the Cats, but our team had such a great year. Can't wait to see what the future brings for our Bat Cats.

Brady is doing good. His ear infection is completely gone and he's just his usual, cheerful self. We tried adding squash to the diet about a week ago and we'll hold off on more of that for a little bit. The darn vegetable makes the kid a farting machine. He was just all sorts of gassy from it, so we'll leave it out for awhile.

We're starting to introduce some green veggies, but it's been carrots and sweet potatoes. Because of that, his little nose is yellow in the pictures. The doctor says that's normal. There's a fancy name for the condition, but it's due to all the orange pigment in his food.

These a are a few pictures hanging out at home this week. Brian was singing the K-State Fight Song to Brady and he just looooooves it when we sing. We've added the clapping motion lately and that's a big hit, as you can tell.
