Sibling Love

Brady helping Brenna kick her legs (and sharing the tummy time mat that he has decided is "his").

 Aaaah, aren't they sweet together?

Brady & Brenna

Brady has been FANTASTIC with the arrival of his little sister.  He's very helpful and likes to pat her back and help her burp and he also loves to give her kisses.  He's only tried to inflict bodily harm on her once in the past month, which I think is a great record (she was laying on a mat that he has adopted as his and he took a swipe at her with his foot).
He was having Mickey Mouse give her kisses last night while I was cutting her fingernails.  I can't wait to watch the two of them grow up together.

Brenna at 1 month

Miss Brenna is one month old today.  Already!  She had her checkup with the doctor yesterday.  At one month old she weighs in at 8 pounds, 10 ounces and is 21.5 inches long.  Her head circumference is 27.5 centimeters.  And the doctor said she gets the title of the most colicky baby he's ever seen, so gold star for mom, dad and everybody else who has been helping us through her crying spells!  Hopefully she grows out of the colic soon.
She is already doing a great job of lifting her head and this morning she rolled from her back to her side.  She is a strong baby.

Handsome boy

Brady didn't get to wear his Easter outfit on Easter Sunday, but we did manage to break it out for church last week.  Seriously, could he look any cuter?

So handsome and adorable in his shirt and sweater vest.

Brenna Elise Smoller

Brenna Elise Smoller joined the world on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 8:37 p.m.  She weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 inches long.

The posts will be pretty scarce in the coming weeks as we get used to a newborn's schedule, but I at least got pictures up!  A big thanks to all of our family and friends for the gifts and all the help they've given or will be giving us in the coming weeks as we make this adjustment.  And thanks for all the prayers during our hospital stays.  Mom is doing well and just ready, aka impatient, to get back to her old self and energy level.
