More pictures of the cute boy

Nothing new to report lately. Brady is eating cereal twice a day now and just chowing it down. We max out what we can give him and he eats it in a matter of minutes. It seems our child has a very high metabolism, much like his daddy. I'm looking forward to being able to give him more food, because I can't keep him with him much longer at this pace.

He can't quite roll from tummy to back, but he's getting close. Last night he tried to for the longest time after we got home from small group and he just can't quite figure out what to do with his arms. So, I'm sure that will happen soon and I'll have to get a video of it, of course!

Getting tickled by Daddy. More smiles at Dad.

Brady meets a KU fan. Heehee.

If Brady Could Talk

My neckline is very wet. Why do I keep drooling? How do I make that stop? Why do people keep pointing that little machine at me and making funny noises? This thing is great. I push the buttons and it makes that big thing on the wall do different things. Can I keep this? What kind of call was that? That pitch was clearly low. Are you blind? How can that not be a strike?

This is great! I love baseball! Bring me here more often!

5 Months Old

Brady is 5 months old today. My, my, my how fast they grow up (okay, there's my cliche statement for the day). We were able to get some pictures this morning before heading off to work. Isn't he adorable smiling at daddy? He's looking at Brian as he starts to tip over. Still don't have that whole sitting business mastered yet.

That's How I Roll

He rolls over for the camera! Sunday night Brady was a rolling machine--all over the place on his play mat. I finally caught it on camera. Next up is learning how to roll tummy to back. So much to learn when you're just an infant!!

Happy Baby

We have such a happy little boy. We are very blessed this his personality thus far has been primarily full of smiles and joy. I took these pictures right after we got home yesterday afternoon. He sat in his car seat and just smiled and played while I unloaded the groceries and put everything away. How you can resist that smile? And yes, I know I sound like a total mom when I make that statement.

The rolls continue.

Well, found Brady sleeping on his tummy again this morning. Apparently this kid jut loves to roll over during the middle of the night. We didn't hear a peep out of him all night, so I have no idea when it happened. I was able to get a couple of pictures. Hopefully a video of the big rollover is next--I'm sure you're all just sooo anxious (can you hear the sarcasm?).
Here's Brady on his playmat starting to roll over--his head is all crooked because he is watching TV while he rolls.
And again. The kid loves the TV right now. He gets a little fussy when you turn him away from it!

He rolls, but not for the camera

I can't get it on film, but boy does he roll over now. We found him on his tummy 2 mornings last week, so he had apparently rolled over in his sleep. So, we know he can roll. The next part is catching it on film to share with everybody, because I'm sure you're just waiting for such thrilling escapades!

Chillin in my bumbo.

Brady's been hanging out lately. He has a bit of a cold this week, which isn't much fun when you're a baby. No way to blow the nose!! We don't have much else to report. Just thought I'd post some pictures my friend Judy took when she saw Brady a couple of weeks ago. In the first one he was able to get his hands on the remote--he loves the remote, the Blackberry, the camera, etc. And here's the start of his unhappy face. He's got a lower lip that he just sticks out when he's not happy. I haven't been able to get a good shot of it yet, but this one captures it. The lip makes us laugh more than anything--how bad can life be when you're 4 1/2 months old?

Adventures in Cereal

Oh, the fun in learning how to eat. Poor Brady, this eating from a spoon is just quite the challenge. He's been improving and eating a little more every night, which is good to see. But inevitably, he ends up with the cereal all over his face. How does that happen? Does God just design children for messy faces? Do chins and cheeks come coated with a special substance that attracts food? Notice the dark spot on the bib underneath his chin. I swear that's where most of the food ends up.
