Cruisin'

Brady is officially too big for the Cozy Coupe, so it's got a new driver these days.  And Miss Brenna loves riding around in it and has a grand time in it. 

Brady was quite nice to fill her up with gas in this first picture.  Such a good big brother.

11 Months

Brenna turned 11 months old on Saturday.  11!  In one month she will be a year old.  Holy cow when did that happen?

Little Miss was more than happy to cheese it up for the camera on Saturday, even managing to wear a hair bow for the pictures (which is quite miraculous, because that girl DOES NOT like having bows, headbands or anything like that on or near her head). 

I think she weighs a little over 17 pounds and I have no idea how tall she is. 

She's eating quite a bit more table food and would probably just eat all table food if her mother could figure out more bite-sized food options for meals.  She has 2 teeth on the bottom. Very blue eyes and very blond hair. 

She sleeps from about 8:00 until 7:00 each night and typically will take about a 1-2 hour nap during the middle of the day. 

She is quite proficient at crawling.  She pulls herself up on two feed using couches, cabinets, legs, stairs, whatever she can get her hands on.  She will "cruise" along the couch and will walk a little bit if you hold her hands, but still a bit to go before starting that skill. 

She is a mama's girl! If she can see mom, than Mom must be holding her.  That's a bit exhausting, but hopefully just a short-lived phase. 

Next up - 1 year old!

Baseball!

Baseball season is upon us and in the month of March that means plenty of quality time in the suite where it's warm and dry.

We had a special visitor at the last home game.

Willie!!

 Willie stopped by the suite and Brady was very, very excited.  He was more than happy to "cheese" for the camera.

This little girl, on the other hand, wanted no part of Willie.  But she was full of smiles as soon as Willie left.

More park time

More pictures from some recent park play dates.  This particular day we met Brady's buddy Braxton (say that fast 3 times!) at the playground at Flint Hills Christian School.  It was quite fun, albeit a bit scary for the moms.  The boys had no problem going up the rock climbing wall and across equipment they've never traversed before.

Bergman Playground

We took advantage of this mild weather go heading out the playground at Bergman Elementary with the Tadtman's several days ago.  The kids had a great time and so did the moms!

 Do you sense a pattern here? Yes, yes you do.  Brady was happy as could be to follow Colten around and copy him.  Colten was great with him and Brady loved it.

Up the stairs

Look at her crawl up the stairs!  Brenna mastered that skill last week, so she can follow her brother around much more easily now.  However, nowhere close to being able to traverse down the stairs.  I think that skill is a long way off.

Finally, FINALLY doing the official 10 month post. 

We didn't get a great picture with Pooh, but hey, we did manage to get the picture taken and that's good enough for me!  Don't mind the Christmas-looking outfit, as Brenna had some lovely bowel reaction to the antibiotic for her latest round of ear infections, so Christmas clothes it was.

Brenna is fun, fun, fun at 10 months old.  Okay, not all fun, but mostly fun.  She still wants to be held almost all the time and honestly, I think she would be totally content being held 80% of the time. 

She is a crawling machine.  She can go everywhere, even up stairs! She has one tooth and is starting to eat more table food like bread and cheese and bananas.  She adores Brady, especially when she wakes in the morning and he goes straight into her room to entertain her while mom & dad still sleep.

She goes to bed about 8:00 and still gets up around 7:00, though this past week she has been up before 7 every morning.  And mom does not like that.  Not one bit.

She babbles and laughs and is very, very ticklish.  She is a petite, little thing.  I think she weighs a tad over 16 pounds. 

And she can pull herself to a standing position, but doesn't really cruise around very much. 

I can't believe I'm having to think about her birthday party already.  Ugh. How did that happen so quickly?
